What we collect

Most of InjuryAtlas can be used without an account or providing personal information. The site may receive basic technical information from your browser and hosting provider, such as a request time, approximate location, device type and pages requested, for security, reliability and aggregate traffic measurement.

Search and preferences

Searches are used in your browser to show relevant InjuryAtlas content. We do not use search terms to build a personal health profile. Some preferences, such as browser theme settings, remain on your device.

Ask Atlas conversations

Ask Atlas keeps up to 12 recent question-and-answer pairs and your unfinished question in this browser tab so you can continue when moving between InjuryAtlas pages. This temporary conversation expires after four hours without updates. Use “New chat” to clear it. Browser session restoration may restore tab data, so clear the conversation on shared devices.

When you send a question, the question, recent conversation and current anatomy or guide context are sent to the chat service to generate an answer. Opening a page or restoring a conversation does not send a new question. Please do not include identifying or sensitive personal details.

Optional Google Analytics

With your permission, InjuryAtlas loads Google Analytics through Google tag GTM-NQ8R9W36 to measure page visits and site use. Google may receive page addresses, browser and device information, and technical request information, and may store analytics cookies. The site does not load this tag before you choose “Allow analytics”.

Our tag setup omits query strings, camera-view fragments and referrer addresses and requests that advertising storage and personalization remain disabled. We do not send chat conversations, saved guides, notes or exercise collections to Google. See Google’s privacy policy for its handling of information.

Your choice is saved in this browser. You can decline or withdraw permission below; withdrawing reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. You can also remove existing analytics cookies through your browser settings.

Cookies and third parties

InjuryAtlas does not intentionally use advertising cookies or sell personal information. Fonts, hosting, analytics or other infrastructure providers may process limited technical data when their services are used. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

Contact and requests

If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond and keep it only as long as reasonably needed. For corrections, accessibility needs or removal requests, use the content requests page.

Your choices

You can limit cookies through your browser, choose not to submit personal information, and ask what information we hold about you or request its deletion where applicable. We may need enough information to verify and complete a request.
